
The Jewelry of Frederick Schuster is the result of the love of shape, line and form, as well as sparkling gems from around the world.
Fred received his formal education at California State University at Los Angeles, BA of Fine Arts – Sculpture, and the Gemological Institute of America at Santa Monica, GJA.
Fine Art has been a passion of Fred’s forever. During the early 70’s he exhibited paintings on La Cienga, Los Angeles, and was a principal in Syntax Space, Santa Monica, exhibiting performance and conceptual art. Assemblage sculpture became Fred’s next area of emphasis; in 1976 the final sculptures were built and exhibited at the Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson, Az.
Teaching has always been important to Fred, whether as a guest lecturer at Cal State, LA; Cal Arts, Valencia; or as an Associate Professor at Northland Pioneer College, Show Low, Az. Fred has enjoyed the opportunity to share the many joys of Art.Fred now exhibits his artistic creations at the internationally-acclaimed Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts.
